The Country String Shop and Music Academy is a full-service stringed instrument repair facility that also features handcrafted instruments, including Robert Kain Violins, Country String Shop Banjos, Spring Run Mandolins, and other instruments priced for the beginner to the professional.  Known primarily as a string repair facility and violin shop specializing in bowed instruments, owner/luthier Bob Kain has been repairing and building instruments since 1976. We maintain a list of available stock on our “Instrument Specials” page.  These instruments can be seen and played at the Country String Shop, where you receive personalized attention and each instrument can be personally evaluated.  Our instruments include quality accessories and shop adjustments at no additional charge.  We never charge a setup fee.  We quote ready-to-play outfit prices with no hidden charges and service guarantees unmatched by any other business.  Customers are pleasantly surprised by our selection and our competitive, affordable prices. We are dedicated to offering quality products and service at reasonable rates.  Our customers and instruments are our priority, and we reserve the right to prioritize our workshop and pricing schedules in order to best accommodate our preferred customers.
